In a horrifying incident, a crocodile dragged a woman into the river while she was taking a bath in Kharasrota River in Kantia village, under the jurisdiction of Binjharpur police station in Odisha’s Jajpur district. The victim has been identified as Soudamini Mahala.

According to eyewitnesses, Soudamini was near the river, bathing, when the crocodile attacked and pulled her into the river. Locals immediately raised an alarm, attracting the attention of nearby residents.

The fire brigade reached the scene promptly, and rescue operations are currently underway with the assistance of the police and the forest department.
