PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) — A man is facing multiple charges after allegedly driving under the influence with a child in the car.

Sergio Lopes, 31, of Woonsocket, was arrested just after midnight Sunday following a crash on Route 146 North in Providence, according to the Rhode Island State Police arrest log.

Lopes was charged with the following: • Child endangerment • Driving under the influence of intoxicating liquor and/or drugs (BAC pending test results) • Driving under the influence with a passenger under 13 • Reckless driving • Failure to stop for accident resulting in damage to an attended vehicle • Simple assault • Disorderly conduct • Obstructing an officer in the execution of duty • Weapons other than firearms
