Iowa ’s quarterback situation was forecasted as “cloudy” a week ago by offensive coordinator Tim Lester. That’s the way it remains heading into the Hawkeyes’ Oct. 11 game at Wisconsin (6 p.m. CT, Fox Sports 1).

Iowa’s Monday depth chart listed Mark Gronowski as its starting quarterback, an indication that the sixth-year senior has a chance to play at Camp Randall Stadium on Saturday night.

The Hawkeyes are also putting redshirt sophomore Hank Brown as their backup quarterback with an "or" distinction alongside redshirt freshman Jeremy Hecklinski, listed for the first time as an Iowa backup. That also clouds the Hawkeyes' picture heading into the battle for the Heartland Trophy.
