PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) – A man made his first federal court appearance on Friday, accused of kicking a federal officer after attempting to escape his arrest earlier in October, authorities announced.

Officials said 28-year-old Ezequiel Ramos Hernandez was charged with multiple felony crimes, including assaulting federal agents and possession with intent to distribute controlled substances.

According to court documents, the FBI, along with the Woodburn and Salem police departments, executed a search warrant at Ramos Hernandez’s hotel in Woodburn on October 1.

Agents seized “distributable quantities” of cocaine, fentanyl and methamphetamine from the hotel room and arrested Ramos Hernandez.
