NILES Police have released the name of the suspect charged in connection with a deadly hit-skip crash in Niles Saturday night.
Police responded to the area of Fifth Street and Indiana Avenue around 8:43 p.m. on Oct. 4 after the department's Dispatch Center received a 911 call about an unresponsive female in a yard.
According to a police report, an unknown vehicle (pictured above) entered the backyard of a home on the 700 block of Indiana Avenue and drove through it, striking parked vehicles facing the driveway. Police say a woman, identified as Brenda Hibbard, was also struck by the car, causing her to be knocked backwards out of her shoes.
"Somebody just drove through my yard and hit my car, my shed and everything. My neighbor's lying on the ground," a neighbor said to a 911 dispatch
