Sunday kicked off the second Latino Business Week in Minneapolis, meant to honor and support local Latino entrepreneurs.
Wilin Castro is one of those entrepreneurs. Originally from Guatemala, the 30-year-old owns Andy’s Garage in the Midtown Global Market. After working at the fast-casual restaurant for years, he took over the business in 2022.
Castro said Latino Business Week is a “huge thing” for him. Running a business is difficult, but these events inspire him to work harder, and he hopes they’ll drive up business.
“I hope we can bring more people. I invite all the people to come to see us and try our breakfast,” Castro said.
Castro recommends the breakfast burrito or the huevos rancheros, though his favorite dish is an omelet full of vegetables and cheese that he makes for himself
