CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC) - While most Republican voters are still undecided in South Carolina’s race for governor, one candidate has pulled ahead in the latest poll.

The latest poll from the Trafalgar Group show Lt. Gov. Pamela Evette with a lead outside of the margin of error.

Trafalgar polled around 1,100 likely Republican voters between Sept. 30 and Oct. 2.

The results found nearly 20% of voters said they would vote for Evette.

Rep. Nancy Mace came in second with about 16%. Twelve percent supported Attorney General Alan Wilson. Rep. Ralph Norman took in 9%, and State Rep. Josh Kimbrell had 1% of the vote.
