Thousands of Montreal students will be on strike on Monday and Tuesday to show their support for the Palestinian people killed by Israeli forces in Gaza over the last two years.
In the city, some 60 college and university student associations representing more than 46,000 students adopted in September strike mandates for Oct. 6 and 7 "in solidarity with the Palestinian resistance."
In a news release, the collective _Convergence des luttes anticapitalistes_ (CLAC) stated that other student associations are due to make their decision by Oct. 7, which could bring the number of students on strike to over 81,000.
