A 21-year-old man charged with attempted murder reportedly admitted to shooting his childhood friend in the head after the a night of drinking, according to court documents obtained today.

Markevius T. Click of Fort Wayne has also been charged with felony aggravated battery.

Click is suspected of shooting his friend, also 21, just after 3 a.m. Saturday, police say. A witness told police they saw a man's body dumped on the ground near a gas station parking lot entrance near the intersection of Hanna and Oxford streets, Fort Wayne Detective Nicholas Lichtsinn wrote in a probable cause affidavit.

The witness returned "a short time later" and saw the body was still there, police said.
