All 16 teams that appeared in last year’s WPIAL soccer finals have qualified for the WPIAL soccer playoffs, which are scheduled to begin Saturday, Oct. 18.

The four returning boys champions are: Fox Chapel (4A), Moon (3A), South Park (2A) and Bentworth (1A).

The four boys teams that finished second are: Plum (4A), Franklin Regional (3A), Avonworth (2A) and Our Lady of the Sacred Heart (1A).

The four returning girls champions are: Peters Township (4A), South Fayette (3A), Quaker Valley (2A) and Springdale (1A).

The four girls teams that finished second are: Seneca Valley (4A), Fox Chapel (3A), Burrell (2A) and Winchester Thurston. (1A).
