FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) - A Fort Wayne woman who initially faced an attempted murder charge for a man's beating was given a lesser sentence Monday.
A judge in Allen Superior Court sentenced Pam Williams to 12 years in prison, but with six of those years suspended.
Back in March, police began investigating reports of domestic battery at a home in the 1900 block of Hobson Road. Officers at the scene found a man who had been restrained and stabbed.
Williams was initially implicated alongside her 19-year-old son. In June, a jury found her son not guilty in connection to the case.
After being treated at a hospital, the victim was able to tell police it all started when Williams confronted him about something and the conversation escalated. Williams was accused of stabbing him three times an
