TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - Governor Laura Kelly announced a Listening Tour to speak with and hear Kansans on their priorities for the State’s Budget.

Gov. Kelly will visit each community throughout the fall to discuss and gather input from residents on the state’s budget ahead of the 2026 legislative session.

“Today, I’m launching ”The People’s Budget" tour, because Kansans should know and have a say in where their hard-earned taxpayer dollars are going,” Gov. Kelly said.

The statewide listening tour, “The People’s Budget,” launches on Thursday, Oct. 9, at the Salina South High School.

The tour will include a total of eight communities in Kansas.

Adam Proffitt, Director of the Budget/Secretary of the Kansas Department of Administration, will join Gov. Kelly on the tour.
