The new owner of the vacated Journey Home property in Helena said they hope to reopen the facility and added they are developing a plan to ensure the facility will be sustainable.

In June, Lewis and Clark County commissioners OK’d selling the facility at 45 E. 16th St. to Many Rivers Whole Health Inc. for $500,000. The facility, which has sat dormant since it closed in 2020, will be used to provide behavioral health services in the county.

Journey Home served as Lewis and Clark County's sole mental health crisis stabilization facility. Western Montana Mental Health, which had provided the service in Lewis and Clark County, halted in late 2019.
