External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar on Monday said the world is witnessing the "weaponisation of everything", as nations navigate a volatile and competitive global order where cooperation is giving way to confrontation.

Speaking at the Aravalli Summit on 'India and the World Order: Preparing for 2047' at Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), Jaishankar said the current global landscape has seen "deep changes across a broad swathe of human activity in a short timeframe", transforming trade, technology, energy and even warfare.

"The world is witnessing more competition and less compacts. The needle has shifted towards an intersection of interests and away from the promise of cooperation," he said.
