(FOX40.COM) — October is here, and the unofficial start of spooky season has begun with events and celebrations throughout the Sacramento region in honor of Halloween.

Movies Under the Stars
The Old Sacramento Waterfront will be hosting outdoor Halloween movie nights every Thursday and Friday throughout the month of October, according to the Downtown Sacramento website.
Officials said that there will be themed vendors with a Halloween ambiance, as well as headphones provided to enjoy the projected movies.
The general start time for the movie nights is 6 p.m.
General tickets are $10, preferred seating is $25 and luxury seating is $35.
