Ramban/ Jammu, Oct 6: Despite intermittent light rain on Monday, the Srinagar-Jammu National Highway (NH-44) remained open for one-way traffic, allowing heavy vehicles towards Kashmir and Light Motor Vehicles (LMVs) towards Jammu, traffic officials said.

However, the vehicular movement remained slow due to several factors, including a single lane road at Tharad Balli Nallah in Udhampur, single-lane stretches between Nashri-Dalwass and Marog-Kishtwari Pather, breakdowns of several heavy vehicles, and on-foot movement of nomadic families with livestock migrating towards Jammu.

The problem-prone Tharad stretch in Udhampur also remained open, easing concerns over possible disruptions.
