SNEEDVILLE, Tenn. — A grand jury indicted a longtime Hancock County School Board member accused of trying to solicit an underage girl for sex.
Third Judicial District Attorney General Dan Armstrong said Tennessee Bureau of Investigation agents began investigating allegations involving 75-year-old Jack Mullins, who has long served Hancock County Schools.
According to the TBI, Mullins approached a juvenile at a fitness center in Sneedville and tried to solicit them to engage in sexual activity.
On October 6, a Hancock County grand jury returned indictments against Mullins with two counts of solicitation of a minor and one count of official misconduct. Mullins was arrested and booked into the Hancock County Jail on a $25,000 bond.
