Boulder community members have an opportunity to learn about gun violence prevention efforts and hear stories from families affected by gun violence at a free film screening at the University of Colorado Boulder on Tuesday, as the center leading the film screening faces uncertainty about whether its funding for its local violence prevention efforts will continue long-term.
The Center for the Study and Prevention of Violence at CU Boulder aims to bridge the gap between gun violence prevention research and best practices to enact solutions. For the last 15 years, the center has partnered with northeast Denver communities to combine community knowledge, youth leadership and university research.
The documentary film screening on Tuesday will highlight the stories of families in Denver who ha
