Detective Cody Conklin of the Tempe Police Department property crimes division contacted the apartment complex after learning about the theft.

The three involved in the theft were seen carrying the ducks out in two separate trips and loading them into a truck before dropping them off at a friend's house.

Because the ducks were worth more than $5,000, the theft was treated as a felony.

Two giant fiberglass ducks have been recovered after being stolen from an apartment complex in Tempe.
