United Housing, a subsidiary of the United Way Perth-Huron, has launched its first-ever community bond offering to help fund the Music Hall Apartments in Listowel — an affordable housing project transforming unused downtown space into new homes.
“For the first time a United Way, in our case through United Housing, is offering community bonds to raise capital for a housing project and we couldn’t be more thrilled,” Ryan Erb, the local United Way’s executive director, in a press release. “This innovative approach allows community members, corporations, and organizations to invest directly in affordable housing for the first time in our region.”
