Cam Skattebo has quickly become a sensation in the NFL.

The New York Giants' rookie running back and former Arizona State star is perhaps best described as a ball of pure football energy on and off the field. His physical playing style and general demeanor have quickly made him a fan favorite.

With Tyrone Tracy sidelined for the last two games, the fourth-round pick has seen an expanded role. In his matchup on Sunday against New Orleans, Saints linebacker Demario Davis was mic'd up, and he provided one of the most perfect descriptions of Skattebo's brand of football.

"44 is like a bad little kid. He looks like a little bad kid," Davis said about Skattebo on the sideline. "You ever been at one of those little football camps and you picked up one of them bad kids, like wrestling with them? That's what No. 44 is like.

"I can feel his little feet just back there going, it's like a bad little kid. It's like a little battery back there.

It's hard to argue with that, Demario.

In the clip, Davis is also seen hilariously trash-talking Skattebo after making a tackle, to which Skattebo quickly replied, "That's five yards!" After the game, however, Davis paid his respects to Skattebo, telling him that he loves the way he runs.

"You've got to, that's how you're supposed to play," Davis told Skattebo regarding his trash talk during the game. "I got much respect for you, dog. Keep hunting."

Even if he runs like "a bad little kid," Skattebo's hard-nosed style of football — which helped lead Arizona State to the College Football Playoff in 2024 — is starting to translate in the NFL, where Skattebo already has 240 yards and two touchdowns on his rookie campaign.
