A federal judge temporarily halted the Trump administration from sending National Guard troops from California and Texas to Oregon.

The decision followed an emergency hearing requested by California and Oregon after troops began arriving in Portland over the weekend.

The judge’s order lasts 14 days, with another hearing scheduled for Oct. 17.

PORTLAND, Ore. - Late Sunday, a federal judge blocked the Trump administration from deploying any National Guard units to Oregon, after the president mobilized the California troops for Portland.

This past weekend, about 200 federalized members of the California National Guard who had been on duty around Los Angeles were reassigned to Portland, a Pentagon spokesperson said.
