LEBANON, Ore. - Firefighters responded to a structure fire on South Williams Street early Monday morning, according to Lebanon Fire District officials.
Fire authorities said that crews arrived to find a two-story home with visible smoke and flames. The response was delayed until law enforcement secured the area for safety concerns. Battalion Chief 31 led the operation as Engine 31 attacked the fire while crews conducted search and rescue efforts. Despite challenges from a downed power line and multiple roof layers, firefighters contained the blaze. A secondary fire nearby was quickly extinguished. Both incidents are under investigation, fire officials said.
