(NewsNation) — Rush, the legendary Canadian rock band, is set to return to the stage next year.

The band announced it will be reuniting for a 2026 summer tour, "Fifty Something," which will be a “celebration of Rush’s music, legacy, and the life of late drummer and lyricist Neil Peart."

Peart died from glioblastoma five years ago. In Peart’s place will be Anika Nilles, a German composer and producer, who previously toured with Jeff Beck.

“It’s been over 10 years since Alex and I have performed the music of Rush alongside our fallen bandmate and friend Neil," Rush co-founder Geddy Lee said in a statement.
