FRONT ROYAL — Balancing a full-time leadership role with a national spotlight isn’t easy, but for Katie Tennant, director of the Northern Virginia 4-H Educational and Conference Center in Warren County, it’s all part of her latest adventure. Tennant was selected to compete on Season 18 of “American Ninja Warrior,” NBC’s hit series that pushes athletes to their limits on obstacle courses designed to test strength and agility.
This isn’t Tennant’s first time in the spotlight. “This is my second time on ‘American Ninja Warrior,’” she said. “I also competed on Season Nine in 2017. I’d taken a break after moving from Ohio to Virginia, plus there were a lot of life changes, then the pandemic happened.”
At the 4-H Center, Tennant is known for her energy, positivity, and ability to inspire youn
