Temporary use extension on Stone Street

Gananoque council will consider whether to extend the temporary use of an automotive sales establishment on Stone Street North for another three years when it meets Tuesday.

The Class III development permit application, filed for 760 Stone Street North, seeks approval to continue operating the existing automobile sales business until December 2028. The site has been under a temporary designation since 2022, which is set to expire at the end of this year.

Under the recommendation before council, the extension would be granted on the condition that all previously approved site works remain unchanged, the accessible parking space be relocated, and the property owner enter into an amended agreement with the town within one year of the decision. All as
