Police said an elderly woman has died after being pinned under a TTC bus in Etobicoke.

Toronto Police responded to the incident shortly after 1:15 p.m. in the bus bay area of Royal York Station at Royal York Rd. and Bloor St. W.

The woman was pronounced dead at the scene.

Paramedics said one other person was transported to a hospital with minor injuries.

“On behalf of everyone at the TTC, I extend our deepest condolences to the individual’s family and loved ones during this incredibly difficult time,” TTC chief executive Mandeep S. Lali said in a social media post.
