MOSCOW, Russia – The Kremlin announced that Russian President Vladimir Putin and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu have discussed the United Nations’ proposed plan for a ceasefire in Gaza. This discussion comes as Hamas, Israel and the United States negotiate the U.S.-backed plan in Egypt.

The conversation between Netanyahu and Putin focused on the significant U.S. plan, which is part of efforts to finalize a ceasefire deal based on President Donald Trump’s proposal for Gaza.

In addition to the ceasefire, the Kremlin reported that the two leaders also addressed regional issues, including Iran’s nuclear program and the ongoing situation in Syria.
