An approximate three-mile backup is in place on I-5 in Tacoma after a semi-truck crashed during Monday morning commute hours.
According to the Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT), the crash happened just before 8 a.m. near Port of Tacoma Road.
The crash resulted in the I-5 on-ramp being blocked, in addition to the right lane of northbound I-5.

WSDOT is warning drivers and commuters to expect long delays through Tacoma and Fife.
