Brady Dunlap may be a transfer from St. John’s University who arrived in St. Louis just this summer, but he has history with the Billikens.
When SLU faced North Carolina State in the NCAA Tournament in 2014, he was there in Orlando, Florida, to watch the game. But at the time, going to SLU was the last thing on his mind.
His father, Jeff, was an assistant coach at N.C. State, so his allegiances were elsewhere. He watched as his beloved Wolfpack, which had played in the First Four in Dayton a few days earlier, faded in the second half, blew a 16-point lead and lost to SLU in overtime, 83-80.
“That game hurt,” he said, “but go Billikens now. It doesn't hurt anymore.”
