CAREY, Ohio — Five years in business may not seem like a long time, but a brewery in Wyandot County is lifting a pint to the milestone.

The only brewery in Carey, Ohio, is celebrating its five-year anniversary this month by thanking the community that helped it along the way.

"It's been supported by the community and I'm around because of the community," said Derek Cunningham, owner of Carey Brewing Station.

The brewery opened in 2020 and, like most local businesses at the time, faced uncertainty in the midst of the pandemic. But fast forward five years, not only are the doors still open, but business is thriving.
