Local teens yearning for the bright lights of Broadway are about to get a significant helping hand from a Northrop graduate who's been there and conquered that.
And, if all goes well, this could lead to a permanent performing arts school downtown.
Tony and Grammy awards winner Heather Headley is the star power behind creating the new arts academy being billed as a three-day boot camp. It will take place on Nov. 7, 8 and 9 at the Pearl Street Arts Center in downtown Fort Wayne.
Friday is the deadline for local high school students to apply.
