LAS VEGAS (KLAS) -- A person was hit by a school bus minutes after Las Vegas Metro police reported that a child was hit by a school bus in a separate incident in the northwest valley.

It happened at 3:44 p.m. on Monday at Jones Boulevard and Madre Mesa Drive near Smoke Ranch Road, just west of the North Las Vegas Airport.

No other information was released by police.

Minutes before the crash, in a separate incident around 3:30 p.m., police reported that a child had been hit by a school bus on Tropical Parkway near Ann Road.
