The University of the Pacific has achieved its highest national recognition in 174 years, ranking 85th among U.S. colleges and universities in the latest Wall Street Journal rankings. The Stockton-based university was also named one of America’s Dream Schools and ranked second among California private institutions for social mobility. School leaders credit the success to major campus improvements, including renovated housing and new academic spaces. Enrollment has reached record highs for three consecutive years.
