NORTH BRADDOCK, Pa. —

Eastern Regional Police are investigating an incident where a derogatory racial message was spray-painted on the home of a disabled man on Parkview Avenue.

He spoke to Pittsburgh's Action News 4 on Monday, saying that because of his declining vision, he first didn't notice the disturbing message spray-painted on his house until his neighbor and mail carrier spoke to him.

"The mailman was coming up the walkway, and he stopped, and he said, 'For real?'" Howell said.

The words "Get Out" were sprayed, followed by a racial slur.

Howell is African American and said he has lived in the house for 22 years, but has never been the target of racial intimidation.

"I haven't bothered nobody.
