More than 1,100 people lose power in Mid-City area, Entergy outage map shows

More than 1,100 people were without power Monday night after an outage in the Mid-City area, according to Entergy's outage map .

The area affected includes Banks Street from the Pontchartrain Expressway to North Carrollton Avenue, and spreads northeast past Canal Street.

Residents in the area report an Entergy alert says power should be restored between 9:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m.
