A 76-year-old man who has been missing for days in dense bushland initially got lost while trying to retrieve his bogged car.
Search efforts for Peter Willoughby involving ground crews, a helicopter, drone, horse riders and a wilderness paramedic resumed on Tuesday morning in northeast Tasmania.
Mr Willoughby, who has a medical condition that can cause him to become disoriented, was reported missing on Sunday afternoon.
He was in bushland near Launceston with others trying to retrieve his bogged station wagon from a rural road.
"He's become disoriented, wandered off into the bush and he hasn't been seen since," Tasmania Police Inspector Nick Clark said.
Police had helped Mr Willoughby several days earlier when his car initially got stuck.
