ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - A woman is accused of throwing hot grease on a man at a Newnan house party, burning him so severely that he needed to be airlifted to the hospital.

On the evening of Saturday, Sept. 27, officers responded to a fight at a home on Lovelace Street that involved “grease being thrown” at a person, according to a Newnan police report.

Police said a man “was covered in boiling grease on his back,” along with flour, which “someone had poured on him to stop the injuries from progressing.”

The victim gave police a statement while he “was in a great deal of pain.”

Another man, the homeowner, told police that 51-year-old Clarethia Bellamy had shown up to a football party at his house uninvited.
