Calls echoed from the steps of the state capitol Monday morning as advocates demanded more protection for immigrants in Connecticut.
About 150 people attended a vigil at the Federal Building in Hartford.

“After we pray with our words and our hearts, we will pray with our feet,” an organizer said.
They marched from the federal building to the capitol, demanding action by the governor and lawmakers.
“I feel a little scared because I cannot go outside to work, to go to restaurants, every time I go outside, I need to go looking what’s going on, what car is there,” Kevin, an undocumented immigrant, explained.
He explained he came to the rally to advocate for those like himself.
