A pedestrian suffered serious injuries after being hit by a car in Vernon on Monday morning.
Officers responded to a report of a motor vehicle vs. pedestrian crash in the area of 862 Hartford Turnpike around 10:46 a.m. on Monday, according to the Vernon Police Department .
Officers located the pedestrian, later identified as 31-year-old Logan Baker of Manchester in the roadway beneath their work truck with serious injuries, police said.
Police officers, along with personnel from Vernon EMS and the Vernon Fire Department, rendered medical aid before Baker was transported to Hartford Hospital, where they were listed in stable condition, according to police.
Officers also located a 2005 Honda Accord, which appeared to have been involved in the crash, facing eastbound on Hartford Turnpik
