LAS VEGAS (KLAS) -- It's race week in Las Vegas with NASCAR coming to town for the South Point 400 Cup Series race and the Focused Health 302 Xfinity Series race.

This is the first race of the Round of 8, with half of the playoff drivers having been eliminated since the playoffs began in August.

In each series, the eight remaining drivers are competing for four spots in their respective winner-take-all championship races in Phoenix the weekend of Nov. 1.

How to watch the South Point 400 on TV

Sunday's Cup Series race will be nationally televised, with the green flag set to drop at 2:30 p.m. PT on USA Network. • Kickoff: 2:30 p.m. PT • Channel: USA Network

The Xfinity Series Focused Health 302 takes place Saturday at 4:30 p.m. PT and can be watched on the CW network.
