TUSCUMBIA, Ala. (WHNT) — It's been six weeks since 15-year-old August Borden suffered severe injuries while on school grounds at Deshler High School.

Family, friends and people from the Shoals community continue to express their support for Borden, even anonymously, through a large digital billboard that stands tall on State Route 13 in Colbert County.

Mary Margaret Holmes, a Deshler High School parent, is also good friends with August's family, and she told News 19 what the billboard means to her.

“It just shows that they have community support, which is so, so important, and as a friend of the family, and knowing August and knowing what a fantastic kid he is, that just to me is just wonderful,” Holmes said.

The billboard was paid for and put up anonymously.
