“Assault on soul of India,” Arvind Kejriwal slams attack on CJI BR Gavai

Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) chief Arvind Kejriwal strongly condemned the recent attempt to throw a shoe at Chief Justice of India (CJI) B.R. Gavai, terming it an “assault on the soul of India” and an attack on the country’s judiciary.

In his X post, he wrote, “The attempt to throw a shoe at CJI B.R. Gavai is not just an attack on one judge but an assault on the soul of India, an assault on the judiciary of this country. A Dalit son reached the highest seat in the country through hard work and honesty–this these people cannot tolerate. Just see their audacity. Their supporters are openly threatening the CJI on social media. This country will never tolerate this kind of politics and thuggery.”

Meanwhile, the Delhi Police have released 71-year-old lawyer Rakesh Kishore, who attempted to throw a s
