Sunny skies and warm temperatures early this week will give way to a cool-down and potentially some light rain just in time for the weekend, according to the National Weather Service.

Inland areas of the East Bay, like Livermore and Concord, are expecting upper 80s and lower 90s on Tuesday.

San Francisco could top out in the mid- to upper-80s in the southeast neighborhoods, like the Mission and Bayview districts. The potential for elevated fire risks will remain low, however, as a result of the light rains that moved through the region over the past couple of weeks, Gass said.

On Wednesday, things will begin to cool off as onshore winds increase due to a low-pressure system that’s expected to approach the Pacific Northwest coast.
