DRUMMONDS, Tenn. (WMC) - The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation has been called to Tipton County after authorities say a deputy shot and critically wounded a subject of a domestic dispute on Monday.
According to preliminary information, TBI says a fight between two brothers escalated when deputies responded to the scene.
The state agency reports that the incident happened shortly after 4 p.m. Monday in the 7600 block of Richardson Landing Road in Drummonds.
Deputies were called to the scene in response to the brothers’ altercation. TBI made no mention of either man being armed.
TBI says that a short foot chase ensued with one of the brothers upon deputies’ arrival, which led to a mobile home on the property.
