HITCHCOCK, Texas — For five years, 80-year-old Sarah Hampton has been sharing her Hitchcock home with some very unwanted guests -- a massive colony of bees.
“I avoid that side because I can’t run,” Hampton said. “But I see these get agitated at times.”
The bees had taken over part of her property, leaving her with just one safe way to get in and out of her home. As a senior on a fixed income, Hampton said she didn’t know how to handle the situation -- until her daughter reached out to KHOU 11 for help.
After seeing KHOU 11’s previous coverage of community bee removals, beekeeper Henry Brown, owner of Farmer Brown and Co., stepped up once again to donate his services.
