So much city business to do, so little time.

With just four regular City Council meetings before the end of the calendar year, when the terms of several members expire, a number of big-ticket items could be coming up for votes.

Most significant is Phase 1 of the land use code update, which is scheduled to be introduced at Wednesday's City Council meeting — nearly a year after city staff initially told the public it would be put forward.

The city has scheduled two special meetings to help get the code's update over the finish line by the year's end, including one at 7 p.m. Thursday where the council will hear public comment on the bill without taking action. It will then go through a series of committees before heading back to the council for a final vote at another special City Council
