NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — After a stormy start to the week, conditions are beginning to settle down across southeast Louisiana and southern Mississippi. However, areas of dense fog are expected to develop overnight, especially in spots that saw heavy rain on Sunday and early Monday. With light winds and clear skies, visibility could drop quickly near sunrise, so be cautious during the Tuesday morning commute. A dense fog advisory is in effect from 3AM-9AM Tuesday.
Through Tuesday, isolated to scattered showers and thunderstorms will remain possible, mainly during the afternoon. Most of the region should see quieter conditions compared to Monday’s downpours, but any lingering showers could cause brief ponding on roads where the ground is still saturated.
