A woman whose "manner of driving" caught police's attention was intercepted on the Bass Highway at Latrobe and refused to have her breath tested.

It did not end well.

Police said the 47-year-old from Devonport was banned from driving for two years, with immediate effect.

She was one of a string of driving offenders police caught in traffic operations during the Burnie Show long weekend.

Drug drivers, speeders, banned drivers and police evaders featured prominently.

"It was disappointing to see some motorists made deliberate and reckless decisions that put their lives - and the lives of other road users - at risk," police said.
