MOUNT ULLA — South Rowan’s most successful plays on Friday night were kickoff returns, and even if you’re returning kickoffs well, that’s not something you want to be doing every few minutes.

West Rowan battered the Raiders 48-6, celebrating homecoming and yet another win against a county opponent. The Falcons have won their last 20 county games and 91 of their last 97 since 2000.

“Coach Scott Young made the county games a very big deal for this program, and that continued with Coach (Joe) Nixon, and we do our best to make sure it continues to be important,” West head coach Louis Kraft said.
